Imran Yusuf’s New BBC Comedy Pilot

BBC3 controller Zai Bennett has green lit a comedy pilot fronted by upcoming stand-up Imran Yusuf. Titled The Imran Yusuf Show, the pilot features a mix of his stand up, location shot sketches, green screen action material and animation. Produced by Indie production company Brown Eyed Boy, this solo project for Imran Yusuf highlights the excitement and high hopes the BBC has for this bright comedy star. Dominic Cavendish at The Telegraph summarises “This year has been marked by an invigorating sense of a younger crowd breaking through”. Looking further and selecting Imarn as an act who made a big impact this year: “This charismatic Kenyan-born Londoner is so intent on giving audiences a good time, he smuggles through shrewd observations about multiculturalism and modern life without you even noticing.” A fitting summary.
